Bodily Healing for All
Isaiah 53:4-6”Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way, and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” All healing, in both testaments ,is based on the stripes of Jesus and the finished work of the cross. Old Testament saints were healed on the basis of Jesus’ stripes that were to come and New Testament saints are healed because he has already come. The meaning is purely physical. Matthew 8:16-17 proves that. Matthew 8:16-17”When the evening had come, they brought unto him many that were possessed of devils and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet saying, Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.” Matthew is quoting Isaiah 53. It’s meaning is purely physical.
If we look at the ministry of Jesus, we see that He always healed them all. Every person that got to Jesus or that He went to, got healed. Matthew 4:23;9:35, and Acts 10:38 say that Jesus HEALED THEM ALL! In fact, all the people Jesus healed were unsaved sinners, and He did not ask them to repent before He healed them. People struggle with healing. Healing is salvation. The very definition of salvation is healing physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, in every way. We would not question God’s will to save. Then why would we question His will to heal? Especially since Jesus is the will of the Father and He healed them all. Alright, then why am I not healed?
First of all, no one can rightly answer that question. Secondly, God is not choosing who to heal and who not to heal, just like He is not choosing who to save and who not to save. Salvation, healing, is an established fact. It is finished! It is not for God to give, but for people to receive. If you are a Christian, you have already received healing. Healing and the Healer live inside of you. Let me add that you do not need faith for healing either because you already have it. We do not need faith for something we already have. We just need to acknowledge it is so and act accordingly. What do I mean by “act accordingly?” Speak the word only! Don’t testify to that sickness again once you have settled the fact that by His stripes you were healed.
I do not personally battle with sickness or devils. I settle the fact that God’s word is true and is final. What do I mean? When I hear the word, I believe it. When I act on the word, I am believing it. After I have acted on the word, I have believed. It is settled. I don’t keep believing. I have believed. Mark 11:24”Whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.” He is talking about manifestation. So, for the manifestation to happen, I have to believe that I already have it before it is in manifestation. Sound complicated? That’s what faith is and that is the way we receive and manifest everything God said belongs to us by way of the cross of Christ. Get out of the sight and feeling mode and get in the faith mode and your healing will manifest. 2Corinthians 5:7”For we walk by faith and not by sight.” We could say we walk by the Word of God and not by what our senses tell us. It is not denial, it is faith. Trust in God and in His word!
